The Client was happy with the outcome of the work. I delivered a few signature images which was very gratifying. What didn't go to plan was night exposure shot of London. I provided the client with three shortlists. They chose 'South Bank Rendezvous' which would have been my second choice, but the problem was with the final print. I took the image to my local printer and unfortunately I learned a dear lesson in printing. Whilst they were super quick with their turnaround and very helpful, the final quality left a lot to be desired. Given it was a night photo, there was a great deal of shadow on the image. In post I worked hard to ensure that there was tonal range within the shadows, leaving only a very minute proportion of the image to black. Unfortunately, the local printers was unable to understand this and rendered the entire shadow tonal range as black, resulting in a dark and unattractive image. It was too late to do anything about it and there I was, lesson learned! Generated a positive lead at the event, so all's well, end's well.
